    Laz had planned to propose to Sylvia while on this hike on a cold New Years Eve day. One minor glitch. Sylvia’s hands were getting so cold she became determined to finish the hike A.S.A.P. with no stops

  • Payprint Loop

    Pawprint Heart Loop

    This was a hike we did with Piet, Kaitlin and Zula on wintry morning in 2021. We have not done this in the summer yet but it was a pretty loop on snowshoes.

  • Balsam Lake Fire Tower

    6.9km loop with amazing views from the fire tower. It takes an average of 2 h 28 min to complete. About 1000ft of climbing.

  • Tusten Mountain Trail

    This is a good 5km loop that has some reasonable elevation gain and a nice spot to swim at the end.

    It is a bit of a longer drive as it takes 40 minutes.

  • Crystal Lake

    Crystal Lake Loop

    Loop around a clear lake. There may be some campers dotted around the lake but we think there are one or two swimming spots.

    An easy 1.4 mile

    15 minutes from the hotel.

  • Fly Fishing Center - 150 Anniversary Casting Competition

    Saturday has a unique event at the Catskills Fly Fishing Center and Museum with a day of Bamboo rod casting competition and BBQ.

  • Bethel Woods Center of the Arts

    National Register Historic Site of the 1969 Woodstock festival known for our music events as well as the historic 1960s Woodstock Museum, both located on 800+ acres of scenic country hills in the Sullivan Catskills

    The New Jersey Symphony will be playing Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone Concert on August 6th at 7:30pm
